For about a year, Gary Webb, a reporter then with the San Jose Mercury News, investigated drug running by the CIA. He published a series of articles that created quite a stir. It wasn't that this information was new, per se. But the fact that the San Jose Mercury News put it out on the web, in full, brought considerable attention. Webb was shafted, to make a long story short. His story is one of the many examples of outright censorship covered in the book, Into The Buzzsaw, edited by Kristina Borjesson. | ||||||||||||||||||

How To Play Audio to get the

Click Play Program to play the audio as it downloads. The player will save the audio file to your hard disk while it is playing. You may be prompted to enter a filename for each segment. (Requires Windows 95/98/NT or Windows 3.1) If you are using a modem, the audio may pause frequently during playback. This is normal. Simply wait until the program is done playing/saving, then re-play the saved copy from your hard disk. Alternatively, to save it on your hard disk without playing...
