Waberi Jordon Visits Straight Ahead

Waberi Jordan and Kraig Blue of Waberi Jordan And Her Band Of Muses visits Straight Ahead. The Band Of Muses sound of jazz world spiritual music is fastly becoming the music of choice for people in Los Angele who came of age on John Coltrane, Pharoah Saunder & Andy Bey. This was Waberis second visit to the killradio studios. She is debuting two new songs on Straight Ahead alone with singing the amazing Sunflowers In My guarden that is written by her and Zanzam Ausar. Waberi is a member of Build An Ark, a collective of Los Angeles based artist & musicians that studied with and were inspired by Horace Tapscott and his Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra. Kraig who is the man in Waberis life is the percussionist in Band Of Muses accompanies Waber here on several songs with his hauntingly beautiful bongo licks. Michael Sheppard of Transparency talks with host Hassan about what going on at the label and plays music from his vast collection which includes Sun Ra and many more.
