DNAEBeats Returns To Culture Remixed
DNAEBeats braves high winds and hail on his drive down from San Francisco to do a set at Kill Radio before his performance at world famous Low End Theory the same night. He plays a live mix of only his original beats and remixes. There are some unreleased exclusives in the mix as well. A subwoofer is recommended for maximum enjoyment of the mix. Wall to wall music this time.

Mike Gao on Culture Remixed Radio
Mike Gao is my guest for the 32nd episode of my radio show on killradio.org recorded live December 12, 2011. I played a few tunes before we got started with an interview. We spoke about a number of things, like apartment hunting in Los Angeles, moving through musical phases, the San Diego music scene and more. Mike Gao spoke about his iOS apps including details about when he may release Poly Playground, his eagerly anticipated iPad app. We also discussed his upcoming releases including his split 12" with Daisuke Tanabe which comes out on February 17, 2012 through Project: Mooncircle and Finest Ego. After our chat he performed a 45 minute live in studio set featuring his iPad app as well as original beats, remixes, plus a few choice cuts from fellow producers. Definitely worth listening to more than once.

Culture Remixed Episode 23
Catch the show live every Monday from 8-10 PST.

It was just me for Episode 23 of the radio show on Kill Radio. I decided to play lots of head nodding beats for the first hour then switch it up for Latin American stuff during the major part of the second hour. I ended the shows with a little rap from Los Angeles and the UK.
Among the artists played were Flying Lotus, Radiohead, ELOS, Take, The XX, Chancha via Circuito, Frikstailers, Flash Bang Grenada, Wiley, Niña Dioz, Mexican Dubwiser, Nortec Collective, Los Destellos, White Stripes, TOKiMONSTA.

Culture Remixed Radio 22 with DNAE Beats & Slotr
Did a special Thursday evening edition of the radio show with guests DNAE Beats and Slotr who were visiting from San Francisco. I was late to the studio and Jean-Paul of Truth is Bullshit graciously got my guests started while I fought my way to the studio.
Both musicians did primarily dubstep sets with Slotr going first with a more midtempo set and DNAE Beats picking up the energy level. They played their own compositions and remixes for the bulk of the show. After their sets, I interviewed each before they had to leave for soundcheck at Heavy. I rounded out the show with a selection of music, from downtempo beats to full on party music and some choice rap cuts.
