Today, the 13th of August, 2012, is the 77th Anniversary of the first Roller Derby event. In commemoration of this anniversary, I offer what Derby patriarch Jerry Seltzer tells me are the oldest Roller Derby broadcasts known to survive, a pair of 15-minute programs from KOIL Omaha in 1938. This is a slightly different Derby than was even seen on television in the 1950s, here using the very early 1937 rules. Have fun...
