Potluck Breakfast November 24, 2010

Let us remember that, as much has been given us, much will be expected from us, and that true homage comes from the heart as well as from the lips, and shows itself in deeds. ~Theodore Roosevelt

The Pre-Thanksgiving show has your host Jeff, contemplative and chatty. Lots of music, though....lots of awful, amateurish engineering too. (sigh)

Rev's Show!

<<<128K STEREO>>>

October 29th

It's election time!  We have Marino and Patricia join us in the studio to talk politics and the upcoming election.  The election portion of the show has been edited and posted.  You can find that edit HEREWe talk about pizza yeast, how Rev.Mook thinks LA water tastes like shit, why there are no water fountains because every one wants to sell bottled water.  Why bottled water is kinda dumb.  We talk about halloween, parties, choppacabras, critical mass, why there are always parties on the weekend, The Echo Curio.  Going to bars that are crowded, and trying to get drunk.  Rev. Dak plays some tunes from his .mp3 player.  How the bank across the street ripped up a bunch of old large trees.  The election special starts up with Marino and a bunch of fun hats.  Marino is upset that there is no GREEN room at our studio.  Borfo talks about Shotgun Mike, myspace and other things interesting.  Rev. Dak plays some more tunes from his mini .mp3 player.  NOW THE ELECTION CONVERSATION REALLY STARTS.  At the end Marino plays some cool tunes from his library.  We end up the show.  Bye.

Rev's Show!

<<<128K STEREO>>>

October 22nd

Rev. Dak is out again doing a wedding or something.  Rev. Mook plays a pile of 7" 45's and 33 1/3 records from the 90's independent 7" revival.  Some great stuff in here that you probably won't find anywhere else.  Halfway threw Rev. Mook fucks with a guy who calls and talks about tickets for the clippers.  Rev. Mook trys to read from Tomatoes blog, but was a bit too drunk to read fluidly.  More 7" records and some crappy .mp3's end up the show.

This is a really fun show, worth the download if you like 90's indie music.  While all of these bands are probably long gone, their 7" artifacts have immortalized them.

Rev's Show!

October 15th

<<<64K MONO>>>

Rev. Dak starts out the show with some tunes..  We talk about the bike scene and the events following the weekend.  Sweating when it's cold, paints, the marine layer, fog.  We talked about Lars's Baked Alaska birthday cake, ice cream, and other after dinner foods.  Talking about KR tech stuff, scripts, which is the most boring things we could talk about.  Rev. Mook plays some product songs from your favorite corporations, (after a bit of technical problems)  Because were anti-corporate, we play a couple more songs. (up came oil)  Drinking beer and getting fat, being sinful, helping listeners getting past a school firewall. (Kyber)  A special guest Ms. Stephanie comes in.  Public restrooms in Japan that have buttons that make a flushing noises, to save water.  That way nobody can hear sounds that come outa yr body.  Rev. Mooks experiences at the Super 8 Film festal, and the films he showed.  Special effects using film, fades, cuts, super imposing, exc..  How laptops replaced everything.  Rev. Dak plays a set.  Getting phone calls from people, how there are a bunch of people in the chat, our podcast.  Looking for the hole in the roof at KR to explore the sky scape and screen movies.  Looking at people on the street, recycling beer cans for money, DIY hacker spaces in Los Angeles.  Rev Dak plays a few tunes, talked about colocations, and other random crap, then we end up the show.
